EGGSTA EPK
EGGSTA is one of the few women who are EDM focused and so multifaceted - a talented producer, songwriter, musician, vocalist and DJ. South African born EGGSTA, is set to dominate the EDM scene, with her unique sound, deep understanding of music and rigorous classical music background, her tracks are just short of masterpieces.
She broke out into the world of EDM by independently producing and releasing her first single BAE in 2021, featuring South African pop singer, Lee Cole. Her single Young Love featuring Kyle Deutsch has done just as well on the dance floor, as it has in the international charts reaching three #1’s in the Top 40 and Top 20 in South Africa. The ‘Young Love’ - Tim Lewis Remix also reached #5 in the 5fm Top 40 charting for multiple weeks. Her single ‘Falling Into You’ entered the East Coast Radio Top 40 at #9 and made it to #1 two weeks later. With 5 songs in the Top 10 spots and three #1’s in one year, this is just the beginning for EGGSTA.
EGGSTA is somewhat of a musical genius, a prodigy. As a child she dedicated hours, practicing as a classical pianist. At age 6, she won the South African award for Best National Pianist in the under 18’s age category. At age 10, she went on to complete the Grade 7 music examination, at the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London.
By no means is EGGSTA new to the music world. She released her first album at the tender age of 16, which earned her a publishing deal with Sony/ATV.
It is not surprising that EGGSTA became a sought after producer and songwriter. From 2008 to 2018 she wrote and produced, singles and albums for independent artists in South Africa and London. While signed to Sony/ATV Publishing she wrote and composed for multiple award winning artists and TV shows including; ‘Isidingo’ as well as had songs featured in Samsung and Mitsubishi TV commercials.
In 2019 she had a revolutionary revelation; that she wanted to put the effort she had been putting into other artists careers, into her own. Since then EGGSTA has delved into creating her signature EDM sound, which can be described as defiantly commercial but threaded through with a classical edge. Her tracks are charged with emotion and expressed with the kind of musicality that can only be mastered by exceptional talent.
EGGSTA is excited about the future and the tracks she’s been working will be something out of the ordinary, a diverse ensemble of music created to be enjoyed as an ethereal experience. EGGSTA dreams of performing at musical festivals soon, with a dream of hearing the audience sings her lyrics back at her. It is nothing short of exciting to hear what EGGSTA will bring out next.
